Hunter Douglas isn’t just an industry leader in window coverings and the major manufacturing of architectural products – they’re actually the world market leader in that particular field. Based out of the Netherlands and with a management office in Switzerland, Hunter Douglas determined what so many other companies have in the last few years: they needed a mobile application.Hunter Douglas mobile app

The goal of their mobile application was to act as an enhancement for their current workforce. They wanted to be able to increase the amount of work that sales associates were able to conduct in the field by giving them a more interactive sales process with leads and other prospective customers. In the past, Hunter Douglas sales members did things “the old fashioned way” – that is to say that they manually wrote down customer order information, account information and any other relevant bits of data that were needed to complete a sale. While this certainly got the job done, it was time consuming and stifling for general productivity at a remote customer site. Hunter Douglas representatives were also concerned with the idea that this time consuming process was creating a type of emotional disconnect between employees and clients who didn’t care how long the process took, they just wanted it done.

Using those basic guidelines as a foundation, The Proven Method was able to move forward and deliver a mobile web application that allowed Hunter Douglas sales reps to accomplish all of their goals and more. Because the customer ordering process was now digitally enabled, representatives could be less concerned with the mechanics of manual data entry and more concerned with the unique customer experience in front of them. All information was localized and digital, allowing them to call up customer account information, place new orders, change existing ones and more.

Going above and beyond that requirement, The Proven Method mobile web app also enabled a custom interface that would allow mobile sales agents to showcase the window treatment solutions that the customer was able to purchase. Using just the app, the sales rep could design a custom window treatment package based on input from the customer that they were receiving in realtime, making their visions become a reality in an instant. This not only served to increase productivity, but also enhanced the relationship between Hunter Douglas and these customers at the exact same time.
